GSA Recycling Programs

Through the Government Services Agency (GSA), Toxco offers any organization within the Federal Government a pre-approved Battery Recycling Contract. This means no statement of work, no use of contracting funds, and half the cost of the conventional waste disposal company. Looking to save money and add new ways of recycling. Toxco’s GSA is a solution.

Toxco Inc offers Federal Agencies certified recycling for all lithium, alkaline, lead, mercury, nickel- cadmium, nickel metal-hydride, magnesium, silver, zinc, and lead batteries. This GSA contract offers two options: 1. The Big Green Box (turnkey recycling) intended for small volumes of all types of mixed batteries, and; 2. Fixed per pound pricing for larger volumes of batteries.

This one of a kind contract is unique since it allows any Federal Government organization, regardless of size or location (continental US only), the opportunity to easily recycle any battery direct with Toxco, the recycling facility. Toxco is approved by the DRMS and US EPA.

The Big Green Box
Toxco’s Big Green Box (all inclusive box) will recycle mixtures of any lithium, nickel, alkaline, mercury, and all other batteries. The Big Green Box price includes all shipping and handling, a pre-labeled United Nations approved container, and all recycling fees. The Big Green Box is a white box with a decorative green recycling logo suitable for office or industrial use. Please note that the GSA has approved The Big Green Box for battery recycling only and it is currently not approved for the recycling of portable electronics. 40-pound capacity, 13”W X 13” L X 8.5” H

Recycling larger volumes of batteries
If volumes of batteries are too large for The Big Green Box, Toxco offers options to recycle the following types of batteries at fixed per-pound pricing. We can provide instruction on packaging, labeling, storage and shipping. Using this option the customer is responsible for shipping unless other arrangements are made with Toxco.

Methods of payment include: Government credit card, electronic funds transfer, or check.

Important Note: Please include a reference to Schedule Item Number (SIN) 899- 4: Waste Management Services; GSA contract GS-10F-0045N. Also include the type of recycling you are interested in, and the quantity. Also include your name, shipping address, phone number, and invoicing contact. If paying by credit card include the type (MC or Visa only), the account number, expiration date, and the name as it appears on the card.
